The Unforgettable Insights

In my role as a Senior Performance Consultant, I have gained accreditations in various specialist psychometric and behavioural tools over the years.  The Insights system and methodology is a powerful instrument which can help individuals learn about themselves, and others, in building relationships, increasing productivity and in real terms, can increase an organisation’s profitability. 

Since my accreditation with Insights, I have debriefed over 400 profiles. One of the amazing concepts with Insights is the easy to understand and engaging debriefing sessions, which actively involve participants in learning about the different personality types. The Insights practitioner acts out the colour energies with props and this actively grabs the attention of the learner. The interactive games and discussions, together with the colourful visuals and slide presentation are really a show in itself. The well-designed sessions and interactivity are just one reason why individuals walk away and remember the Insights message.

Almost all Insight evaluations are the same – “The Insights tool will help me in my role”, “I really love Insights”, “The session was interesting and entertaining” and the list goes on and on. In the field, the Insights message becomes part of people’s lives. One client requested that the partners of all the managers that attended an Insights session also have their profiles completed. The managers spoke so highly of Insights tool, they wanted to make it part of their personal lives.

It has truly been a great journey with Insights .... A new language has emerged within a historically somewhat dispersed and disconnected organization and as we were traveling we have “converted” many skeptics, primarily because Insights has a unique combination of,· scientific rigor, · impactful and simple presentation,· powerful training interventions,· excellent Insights representatives wherever we went around the world.

Right now, the seeds have been planted at The Nuance Group, over the next 2-3 years the hard work will need to continue in our organization. This year was good, hopefully we can say that is was great in some time from now. I am convinced that my successor Simon Dawson will continue with the same, or even more passion behind this.

By the way, I am looking forward to seeing Insights for kids being further developed. I think it is a HUGE opportunity

I Gained a promotion/job more in line with what I have been wanting for years. The Insights Discovery Profil provided an insight into the different types of  personalities, enabling me  to recognise those different types and interact with them accordingly. Biggest learning..identifying my own personality type

My biggest learning insight from the profile was identifying my own personality type and, consequently, my opposite type. One of the key action points identified below is more effective interaction with my opposite personality type. 3 actions I intend to take as a result are, 1) Meeting the needs of my opposite personality type and 2) Meeting people half-way - both in terms of initiating small talk with strangers, and in general interactions. 3) Resisting the urge to introduce long-winded, complex solutions to straightforward issues - specifically in the workplace.

The most interesting aspects of the Insights personal profile was how it highlighted my lack of red energy and the impacts of this on my life.
